报告题目:MEMS Devices for Weak Biomedical Signal Measurement

Abstract: 

The application of Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) in the biomedical signal measurement is leading to a new generation of medical devices. Advanced Micro and Nanoinstruments Center (AMNC) focuses on developing different kinds of micro/ nano scale devices for sensing the weak mechanical force/stress and the weak cellular electrical signals. In this talk, Dr. Wang mainly introduces microdevice arrays for sensing the contraction of the heart. The heart completes a complex set of tasks, including the initiation or propagation of an electrical signal with regularity and generating sufficient force of contraction (contractility). Probing mechanisms of heart diseases and quantifying drug efficacies demand a platform that is capable of continuous operation inside a cell incubator for long-term measurement of cardiomyocyte (CM) monolayers.  The proposed microdevice arrays that are capable of performing continuous, long-term measurement of contractility, beating rate, and beating rhythm in a monolayer of human-induced pluripotent stem cell-CMs (hiPSC-CMs). The continuous measurement capability of the device arrays also enabled the generation of Poincaré plots for revealing subtle changes in the beating rhythm of hiPSC-CMs under different drug treatments.

报告人简介:

王力,博士,主要从事微/纳机电器件的研究工作,泰山学者青年专家(2018),济南市高层次人才第三层次(2020)。 博士后研究开展于University of Toronto (多伦多大学)机械工业工程学院,硕博连读于中国科学院电子学研究所。 2018 年 10 月加入齐鲁工业大学机械与汽车工程学院,教授/硕导。目前主持国家自然基金项目、山东优秀青年创新团队项目,参与山东重大科技创新工程一项;博士后期间主持加拿大Ted Rogers Heart Reasearch 中心项目两项。在主流学术期刊Biomaterials (IF=10.35)、Biosensors & Bioelectronics (IF=10.2)、ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (IF=8.75)、Microsystem &Nanoengineering (Nature 出版)、Materials Science and Engineering C (IF=5.88) 等发表论文17篇;申请/授权中国/美国在内的6件发明专利。同时,也担任了 Biosensors & Bioelectronics等多个 SCI 期刊审稿人、山东留学生协会理事、中国微米纳米学会会员、IEEE会员等学术兼职。
